EU Orders & Collecting EU & Local Country Taxes / VAT

Our medical devices are fully EU MDR compliant and can be freely sold across the European Union. However, we do not currently collect EU VAT at checkout.

VAT and Customs Charges
When your order arrives in your country, the courier (e.g. DPD, UPS, DHL) pays the import VAT to local customs on your behalf.
- They then request repayment from you before delivery.
- This amount is your country’s VAT, not an additional charge from us.
- Couriers may also add a small handling or administration fee.

Why am I asked to pay before delivery?
This is a normal part of the EU import process when VAT has not been collected at checkout. The courier is required to collect VAT before handing over the parcel.

Our Future Plans
We know this is not the smoothest process. We are currently exploring solutions so EU VAT can be collected at checkout, which will remove the need for extra payments at delivery.
